Sarah A. Speicher

Sarah A. Speicher was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Ms. Speicher received her undergraduate degree from Temple University in 2015 and went on to receive her law degree in 2019 from Stetson University College of Law. While attending Stetson, Ms. Speicher interned as a judicial intern for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, and as a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit. Ms. Speicher was also a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society, served as a Research Assistant to Professor Cynthia Hawkins, volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem for Pinellas County, and was recognized as an Honor Roll recipient. During her law school summers, Ms. Speicher clerked at several local law firms where she gained experience in a variety of legal fields. In 2017, Ms. Speicher’s legal studies lead her to The Hague, Netherlands, where she participated in “The Study of International Courts and Tribunals Reparations” study abroad program.

Ms. Speicher’s prior professional experience involved prosecuting a high-volume caseload of over 400 misdemeanor cases from intake to disposition for the Office of the State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit. As a prosecutor, Ms. Speicher prepared discovery, handled arraignment and disposition dockets, communicated with victims and law enforcement, and negotiated plea agreements with defense counsel. While at the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Speicher conducted adversarial evidentiary hearings, bench trials, and sat first chair on a jury trial.

Ms. Speicher is admitted to practice in the State of Florida where she is an active member of the Florida Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Division. She has joined La Cava Jacobson & Goodis and is concentrating her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and general liability claims.
