Kathryn A. Adams
Kathryn Adams graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2008 from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, she clerked for the Honorable Buddy Perry in Winchester, Tennessee, and completed an internship program with the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, in 2008.
Ms. Adams was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009, and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2019. During her career she has handled cases involving the defense of medical malpractice claims brought against hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers. In addition, she handled a wide variety of general liability cases. Another aspect of her practice includes training clients in the areas of risk management and litigation strategies. She has presented to corporate administrators, risk managers, and healthcare professionals on various topics including discovery practices, administrative issues, mitigation of risk for healthcare facilities, and regular updates on Florida case law. She is an active member of The Florida Bar, The Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Woman Lawyers Association.
At La Cava Jacobson & Goodis, Ms. Adams will continue to focus her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and general liability cases.
