A Tribute To Our Colleague

Michael Minkin
November 23, 1945 - November 29, 2009

Our friend and partner, Michael Minkin, passed away on November 29, 2009. Michael was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1945. He went on to earn both his B.A. and J.D. from Temple University. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1970. He began his legal career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving in multiple capacities from Deputy Attorney General to Assistant Regional Director for the Eastern Regional Office. All who knew Michael were well aware of the pride he took in being a Philadelphia lawyer. Michael moved to Miami, Florida, in 1984, where he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney until 1987. He then opened his own law firm and in 2000, joined Stephens, Lynn, Klein, La Cava & Puya, P.A. as a partner in the Tampa office. As a trial attorney, Michael was well respected in every community where he practiced. Michael was an exceptional trial lawyer and a trusted mentor. He is deeply missed.
